Course Overview:

Description:  In this class we will be studying Earth and Space Science.  Some of the topics included in this class are: minerals, rocks, earthquakes, volcanoes, maps, climate, our impact on the environment and objects in space.    

Learning Objectives:

• In this class students will value and use science as a process of obtaining knowledge based upon observable evidence 

• Students will use science process and thinking skills

• Develop an understanding in science concepts and principles

• Explore the social and historical connections in science

• Demonstrate understanding in the nature of science 

• Communicate information  using scientific terminology  and reasoning
